Centex reaches out to help those in need
Thanksgiving was made more enjoyable for many local families in need, thanks to donations of food and cash by Centex Homes. Three area charities benefited from the gifts. The builder donated 500 turkeys to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada; $500 to HELP of Southern Nevada; and 500 cans of vegetables to The Salvation Army. "This is our way of giving back to the community," Nikki Liesse, marketing manager for Centex, said. "Las Vegas has given us a lot to be thankful for and now it's our turn." Scott Worrall, vice president of sales and marketing for the builder, agreed. "This experience is so gratifying, we plan to make it an annual tradition," Worrall said. Centex has several neighborhoods under development throughout the Las Vegas Valley, and recently broke ground for Encantada, its first project in the southwestern part of valley. The builder's homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s to the low $400,000s. Floor plans range from 1,213 to 3,807 square feet with two to six bedrooms and as many as 3 1/2 baths.
