Risk-based pricing reform may aid home buyers
<b>WASHINGTON --</b> What could be one of the most helpful, pro-consumer reforms in years for home mortgage applicants has been bottled up at the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Reserve. Worse yet, consumer advocates and credit industry experts fear the final version of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 may be watered down from what Congress intended when President Bush signed the reform nearly two years ago.
