Red Rock Country Club adds cart paths

The developers of Red Rock Country Club are installing golf cart paths at the community's Arroyo and Mountain Golf Courses, with completion set for February 2002.

"The two Arnold Palmer-designed courses at Red Rock Country Club incorporate the surrounding topography and include canyons, water features and other challenges," Thomas Gilbertson, general manager, said. "The paths will help maintain the character of the courses and allow our members to further enjoy their golf experience at the club."

Both courses offer mountain and city views, and the builder added bunkers and tee positions to increase the length of each course by 100 yards. Complementing the courses is a practice facility with a double-ended driving range, putting green and chipping areas.

Located within the Summerlin master-planned community, the country club features four home collections: Acacia, Mesquite, Ocotillo and Palo Verde, with prices starting from the $350,000s to more than $2 million.

The single- and two-story floor plans range from 2,100 to 5,300 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and a four-car garage. A design studio is open to assist buyers.

Club amenities include a 44,000-square-foot clubhouse with two dining rooms; a golf pro shop; banquet facilities; a meeting room; and an aquatic center with several pools, a spa, splash-and-spray park and an outdoor grill.

Additional features include a tennis facility with nine hard-surface courts, including a stadium court; and a sports club with exercise equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and a supervised children's play area. An expansion doubling the club's size is planned.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west past Town Center Drive and follow the signs. Or, take Interstate 215 to Sahara and go west. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The developer, Sunrise Colony Co., is also building Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin.
