Pardee renews pledge to Shade TreeSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
In keeping with holiday tradition, Pardee Homes of Nevada has pledged $500 to the Shade Tree Shelter for homeless women and their children for each new home sold during December in one of its neighborhoods. The company has made the pledge for seven consecutive years. "Just as Shade Tree has made a commitment to the women and children of Southern Nevada, Pardee has made a commitment to assist in the success of Shade Tree for many years to come," sales executive Ray Landry said. Shade Tree, located in downtown Las Vegas, is Clark County's only 24-hour accessible emergency shelter for homeless women and mothers with children in crisis. The 38,000-square-foot facility has 364 beds. Founded in 1990, the shelter has assisted more than 65,000 women and children, according to director Brenda Dizon. This year's featured neighborhood is Renaissance, which is in the Seven Hills community in Henderson. Floor plans range from 2,726 to 4,670 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths and a three-car garage. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Grand Hills Drive, turn right and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
