Christopher Homes establishes formula for local success
Builder prioritizes
luxury, home design
SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Christopher Homes, a luxury home builder, has strongly emphasized the design element of its homes, according to company founder J. Christopher Stuhmer.
"The strength of Christopher Homes has always been recognized in our superior design and product," he said. "Because of the market segment we are in, we are continually motivated to be on the leading edge in design. Our designs must be fresh, exciting and livable. You must also be able to adapt to ever changing market demands, which is evidenced by the exciting new products we introduced this year, as well as others we are prepared to unveil in 2007."

The company has earned more than 150 local, regional and national honors over the years.
The builder's Summerlin neighborhoods include Country Club Hills, Palisades, Vineyards and Bellacere, while Christopher Communities offers homes in the Southern Highlands Golf Club community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.
"Our roots are in custom-home building where builders tend to develop close relationships with their clients," Stuhmer said. "When we expanded beyond custom building, we carried that tradition with us. In our unique client philosophy, our buyers get to know the key management employees involved in the construction of their homes."
Stuhmer said the company's mission is to help buyers create homes with less stress.
"Choices we have afforded both our custom and production buyers have been beyond anything they could find elsewhere, including such luxury amenities as elevators, motor courts, courtyards with fireplaces, detached guest quarters, four-car garages, wine cellars, and more," he said.
The Enclave, currently in development, features 16 custom estates in a gated community within Southern Highlands, six of which have been completed with two ready for immediate move-in. Homes measure 5,000 to 15,000 square feet on one-third acre to three-quarter acre home sites.
Prices range from $2.8 million to $8 million.
Sales are anticipated to begin in early 2007 at Boulder Ridge, a gated community of 46 residences located within The Ridge, a Summerlin community. Prices start from the high $1 million range.
C2 Lofts, a Christopher company, specializes in the development of mixed-use products, and the first is in Summerlin. It will feature 100 lofts within two five-story buildings located at the southwest corner of the Las Vegas Beltway and West Charleston Boulevard.
Priced from $600,000 to $1.2 million, eight designs are offered, measuring as much as 2,800 square feet. Lofts are available with views of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area's Spring Mountain and the Las Vegas Valley.
