Buyer falls in love with Solera
Shirley Boyd said that living at Del Webb's age-qualified Solera at Anthem community is like a dream come true. "Oh my, yes, I love it here," she said. "My house is the house of love." The Las Vegas native, who moved into her Lewis model in September, shows her love with a large, white rock heart in her front yard. Her 1,140-square-foot home has two bedrooms, two baths and a great room. "I have a cute kitchen, and my bedroom is separate from the other one. And I have a big walk-in closet," she said. "It's a really nice house." Homes in the community, part of the Anthem master plan in Henderson, have telephone and cable connections in every room, Corian counter tops, and raised-panel cabinets. In addition, homes have energy-saving features including low-e windows, cocoon insulation, and 12-SEER air-conditioning units with duct sealants that exceed Energy Star requirements. Boyd said she is looking forward to the community's recreational, social and athletic opportunities that will be selected in part by residents, and anticipates the possibility of yoga classes, aerobics and learning Spanish. Meantime, she remains active with daily walks around the base of Black Mountain, and time with her son, Gary, and her three grandchildren. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to the low $270,000s. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to Somersworth Drive. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
