Businessman buys first home at Latigo
David Shaker was the first person to buy a condominium at Latigo, a complex in the southern valley. A frequent traveler, the businessman said the location was convenient for getting to the airport. He purchased the Madrid model, which offers two bedrooms and two baths in 1,024 square feet. "Latigo is a winner," Shaker said. "The location is great and the people here are friendly and informative." The project has done well since its grand opening, according to sales manager Lisa Sloan. "It just goes to show that the condominium market remains strong and vibrant in Las Vegas," she said. "Inventory still remains at Latigo for people who want to purchase a condominium home at today's low interest rates and move into it right away instead of waiting for one to be built and possibly closing at a higher rate." The 400-unit, gated complex offers homes for immediate move-ins, including five one-, two- and three-bedroom designs. The Barcelona offers one bedroom and one bath and measures 700 square feet. The Cordova also offers one bedroom and one bath and measures 775 square feet. The Granada and the Madrid both have two bedrooms and two baths and measure 938 and 1,024 square feet, respectively. The Sevilla offers three bedrooms and two baths in 1,156 square feet. The newly renovated clubhouse offers a media and party room with a plasma-screen television, library, billiard room, business center and Internet café. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, spa and fitness center. Prices start from the low $100,000s. The complex is located at 2300 Silverado Ranch Blvd. at the corner of Eastern Avenue. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
