Help-U-Sell's services impress seller
Ray Nolasco tapped Help-U-Sell Integrity Realty to aid him in the sale of his 1,500-square-foot house in the southwestern valley. And, because Nolasco found a buyer for his property, he was able to save more money than expected. "I saved money because I didn't have to pay an outside agent. ... I did really good," he said. Nolasco was contacted by the interested buyer who saw the for-sale sign in front of the property. Nolasco then handed over a business card for his sales agent. The agent wrote up the offer and served as a translator using her knowledge of Spanish. Help-U-Sell is a fee-for-service agency which provides full representation and handles all negotiations. Sellers also receive signage, lock boxes, flyers and advertising. Through the agency, clients can sell their homes for as little as $2,950, however, other fees may apply, including commissions for the buyer's agent. Sellers are encouraged to show their own property and conduct open houses. Nolasco said his transaction cost him $2,950 since he secured the buyer. Forty-two percent of Help-U-Sell's transactions nationwide are completed without another agent, according to Michael Patton, president of the company's Southern Nevada operations. Locally, the company has about 30 agents, who represent clients based on assigned zip codes. All agents are members of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
