Nevada Trails appeals to families
With more than 20 acres of parks and trails outdoors and LivingSmart features indoors, families get the best of both worlds at Pardee Homes' Nevada Trails community in the southwestern valley, according to Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales. "Many families are also attracted to the southwest location," he said. "In addition to great new designs, the three new Nevada Trails neighborhoods offer LivingSmart choices for healthier, more energy-efficient living options that take energy savings to new levels." Homes in the community earn the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label by exceeding national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent. The builder's LivingSmart program offers environmentally sensitive features and options in the categories of EarthSmart, EnergySmart and HealthSmart. The features include solar power, fluorescent lighting, low VOC paint, tankless water heaters and central vacuum systems, Landry said. "Our model park is also a showcase for the conservation of water in our arid environment. Our models are set in a beautiful desert demonstration garden that serves as a guide to responsible outdoor living in the Mojave Desert." Available with as many as six bedrooms and five baths, Palo Verde's courtyard homes feature flexible designs ranging from 2,817 to 5,051 square feet. They are priced from $582,950 to $676,950. Offering as many as five bedrooms and four baths, Acacia homes feature courtyard entries. Its four one- and two-story floor plans measure 1,989 to 3,495 square feet, and are priced from $449,450 to $557,450. Featuring several great room floor plans, Mesquite offers one- and two-story homes with as many as five bedrooms and three baths. Designs measure 1,535 to 2,435 square feet and are priced from $352,450 to $461,950. Upon completion, the community will include more than 20 acres of parks and trails. The 10-acre Nevada Trails Park, developed in cooperation with the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department, includes basketball and tennis courts, a playground, playing fields, exercise track and picnic pavilion. It is connected to the community's trail system, which is landscaped with drought-tolerant trees and plants. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, go one mile south to Robindale Road and turn right. The model homes and sales center are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. Pardee has built homes for nearly 30,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952.
