Family invests in future at Rancho Lake condos
Kevin and Dawn Sarna are planning for the future by investing in a unit at Rancho Lakes Condominiums in the northwestern valley. They hope the future sale of the one-bedroom condo will provide enough funds to pay for college educations for their children, Laityn and Gage. "My wife said investing $5,000 to pay (for) our children's college tuition is worth every penny," the 31-year-old native Las Vegan said. "I can't imagine it being a bad investment." The 300-unit gated development is located at 2075 N. Rancho Drive, just south of Lake Mead Boulevard. More than half of the condos were reserved during its first two months of sales. Available residences range from 719 to 1,105 square feet. Three one-bedroom models are priced from $95,000; three two-bedroom units are priced from $127,000; and three three-bedroom units are priced from $145,000. Each unit includes an appliance package with a refrigerator, dishwasher, range with hood, washer, dryer, and garbage disposal. Window coverings also are offered. Common area amenities include covered parking; a 3,500 square-foot clubhouse with an exercise room, pool and outdoor spa; playground; and barbecue area with gas grills. A monthly association fee of $122 covers water, sewer, trash, clubhouse upkeep, and maintenance of the complex. The sales office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
