Providence, a 1,200-acre, master-planned community has begun to take shape, opening model homes from leading builders in the valley, according to the developer.
"Home buyers in search of a way of life reminiscent of times when you actually knew your neighbors, and when your kids had wonderful parks to play in after school, will be able to envision what that life will be like here at Providence as more amenities and homes come online," said Deonna Stocker, a representative of Focus Property Group, developer of Providence. "By the end of the year, nearly 40 models will be open to the public at Providence, offering home buyers an impressive selection of designs and floor plans."

The community, located at the Interstate 215, Las Vegas Beltway and Hualapai Way, follows an "American Traditions" theme, according to Stocker, with its tree-lined boulevards and parks. Also, the Focus Property Group aims to protect natural resources within the community.
Providence will be planted with an estimated 4,000 mature, desert-adaptable shade and specimen trees, along with drought-tolerant shrubs and plants. About 1,500 of the shade trees are being held at the tree nursery, which can be seen across the street from the information center on Hualapai Way.
Examples of the drought-tolerant plant palette can be viewed in the Demonstration Garden.
Built as a resource for the residents, the facility will host to a future series of landscape seminars to educate homeowners on how they can design their backyards.
KB Home will join the builders that have opened models at the community with the mid-November opening of the Cambridge Crossing and Cambridge Villas neighborhoods. Both offer two-story homes.
The builder plans to unveil its Manchester Park and Oxford Commons neighborhoods soon.
Pardee Homes' opened its Highgate and Chestnut Hill models in September.
Pulte Homes' Easton Place, which has recorded some of the first sales at the commuunity, has models open for viewing.
Ryland Homes offers homes in its Auburn and Bradford subdivisions.
Meritage Homes is among these builders with its Northern Terrace neighborhood and The Club at Northern Terrace is a multi-million dollar recreational facility with pools, spa and fitness center, expected to open in early 2007.
Toll Brothers is slated to open models for Franklin Park and Madison Grove neighborhoods in early 2007.
Other builders at the community include Astoria Homes, Avante Homes, Beazer Homes, Fairview Residential, Kimball Hill Homes, Lennar Everything's Included Homes, R/S Development, Warmington Homes Nevada and Woodside Homes.
Upon buildout, the master plan allows for 33 acres of parks and 10 miles of trails systems, 63 acres for schools consisting of two elementary schools and one middle school, in addition to the existing Centennial High School.
