Young couple discovers Pardee's Capistrano in North Las Vegas
Shannon Duffy, a University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate and first-grade teacher with the Clark County School District, and her fiancé Stephonne Young, who also attends UNLV and works part-time on the Strip, were in the market for their first home when a billboard led them to Pardee Homes' Capistrano.
"We were driving down Craig Road and saw the billboard promoting Capistrano. It was proof that marketing does work," said Young, who is pursuing a marketing degree at the university.

Actually, the billboard was only a part of the search that led the couple to the neighborhood.
"My family has always lived in North Las Vegas and the Craig Road area," said Young, who moved to the valley in 1992 when his family was transferred to Nellis Air Force Base. "My family still lives in the area and we wanted to be close by."
Another consideration was price.
"We wanted a home that was priced under $300,000 and we were excited to find it at Capistrano, where we purchased the Residence Four with four bedrooms, three baths and a two-car garage and moved in last month," Duffy said.
The open family room and kitchen was another selling point for Duffy and Young, both self-confessed sports nuts.
"We had a large couch specially designed for the space so we can enjoy watching basketball and all sports," said Duffy.
