Southern Highlands debuts neighborhood
The Estates at Southern Highlands Golf Club will mark the debut of Augusta Canyon on Monday with the release of 25 custom-home lots. Located on a hillside overlooking the golf course, the lots measure from three-quarters of an acre to 1 acre and are priced from the $400,000s. "With the release of Augusta Canyon, buyers are presented with a great opportunity to become part of a truly remarkable community," said Mitch McClellan, president of Southern Highlands Realty. "These are some of the best golf lots we have ever released. Because of the hillside location there are gorgeous views of the mountains and city lights, all along a superior golf course. The beauty of the fall season seemed like a perfect time to release Augusta Canyon." McClellan said the neighborhood is designed to blend with the natural terrain. Adding to the appeal is a linear park paseo, which offers golf and park frontage, as well as hillside properties. Pine, flowering plum, pear and other shade trees line the fairways and entry. "Augusta Canyon provides home buyers with an opportunity to customize their lifestyle in an exceptional location. The interest in this community is already quite high," he said. "But since only a limited number of estate lots are being released, we anticipate sales to be very brisk." The centerpiece of Southern Highlands Golf Club is its Tuscan-inspired clubhouse with library, wine room, locker rooms, restaurant and pro shop. The Spa at Southern Highlands is also open. Also within the guard-gated community are custom-home sites ranging from one-half acre to 2 acres and priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million. Custom homes start from $1.5 million. To visit, take Interstate 15 south to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit and proceed west, following the signs.
