Family of three ends home search at Pecos Park
When Cody and Jana Lewis moved from Michigan to Southern Nevada, they wanted to find a nice home and neighborhood for their family of three. Cody Lewis, a financial analyst and land acquisition specialist, said they spent about six weeks looking at a variety of new homes before making their final decision. "We chose Avante Homes' Pecos Park neighborhood because the size and quality of the homes were far superior to anything else we could find in the same price range," he said. "The floor plans are more interesting, the list of included features is very impressive, and Avante Homes gives you a myriad of opportunities to personalize your floor plan to your own taste and lifestyle. All of this was beyond anything we experienced at other new neighborhoods we had visited." The neighborhood, which is in its initial phase, offers four floor plans ranging from 1,204 to 1,952 square feet. Homes with as many as four bedrooms, or three bedrooms and a loft, are available. Prices start from the $200,000s. The Lewises chose the Palo Verde design, a two-story home with four bedrooms, an optional loft and two baths in 1,952 square feet. "We just love the spaciousness of the Palo Verde, especially the kitchen, eating nook and family room areas," Jana Lewis said. "We were also impressed by the features that were included with our home, such as the abundant cabinetry and counter space and the granite kitchen counter tops." The Lewises, who were the first buyers in the neighborhood, said its location in the northeastern valley was another factor in their buying decision. "Since this is a new and developing area of the valley, Avante Homes can offer much more home for your money," Cody Lewis said. The homes include upgraded cabinetry, granite counter tops, platinum-finished plumbing fixtures, raised-panel doors and upgraded light fixtures. Also, all of the homes qualify for the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star designation. Such homes incorporate energy efficiency into their designs and construction, using at least 30 percent less energy for cooling and heating than a standard home. For a limited time, the builder offers a zero-down move-in program with payments as low as $1,039 month for qualified buyers. Details are available at the sales office. The neighborhood features a 2 1/2-acre park. To visit, take Interstate 15 north, past Craig Road, to Interstate 215, go west to Losee Road, drive south to Centennial Parkway. Go left on East Centennial Parkway to Pecos Road. Turn right onto Pecos Road, then turn left onto Azure Drive. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Avante Homes has been building homes throughout Southern Nevada since 1992.
