High-rise buyer doubles up on Turnberry's local projects
Miami native partners with mother for second condo purchase
Local resident Paul Freed didn't stop at one high-rise condominium purchase. The 28-year-old Miami native purchased a residence at Turnberry Towers and Turnberry Place, two high-rise residential developments by Turnberry Associates. Turnberry Place is sold out. New homes at Turnberry Towers are still available.
"Turnberry Associates is the Rolls Royce of high-rise developers," said Freed, a partner in a real estate investment and development company. "I have followed Turnberry's path from Miami to Las Vegas, and the company has a proven track record for success. The quality of each development is at the highest level, and because it has the Turnberry name, I know it will be completed."

Freed, who resides in Henderson, purchased a residence in the fourth tower at Turnberry Place, which is under construction, for himself and teamed up with his mother to purchase a residence at Turnberry Towers.
"I want to move closer to the Strip and Turnberry Place is located within walking distance, just a block away," he said. "My office is located right around the corner so I could walk to work. My mother will live right across the street at Turnberry Towers so it will be convenient to visit."
Freed said his mother, Sheila, who resides in Miami, wants to move to Las Vegas part-time to be closer to her sons and her granddaughter.
Plans for Turnberry Towers call for dual 45-story towers at Paradise Road and Karen Avenue.
The East Tower is sold out and under construction with occupancy slated for spring 2007. Sales for the West Tower are under way; the remaining 150 residences were recently released for sale.
Available homes include a one-bedroom residence with 1 1/2 baths, a two-bedroom home with two baths, a two-bedroom floor plan with a den and two baths, and a three-bedroom design with 2 1/2 baths. The one-bedroom residence comes with an open kitchen and counter bar. Many homes feature views of the Strip and surrounding mountains.
Prices start from $500,000 to more than $1.3 million.
Residences will feature Italian marble baths and spa tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and 9-foot ceilings.
Within the gated development, each tower will feature a fitness facility, outdoor pool with a sun deck, landscaping, tennis, valet and 24-hour security.
The sales office, located at 222 Karen Ave., features a model suite. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
