Lamplight Glen introduces new architectural styles
Carina Homes recently announced the opening of its Lamplight Glen neighborhood in northwest Las Vegas, the latest in its series of Lamplight neighborhoods, according to company President Mark Doppe. Homes at the gated neighborhood range from 3,412 to 5,263 square feet. A detached casita is optional. Prices start from the $600,000s. Carina has three Lamplight neighborhoods with a fourth one scheduled to open soon. Each one offers a range of architectural styles, including American traditional, western contemporary, French country and craftsman. Lamplight Glen offers two new styles: Key West and Spanish colonial. "Home buyers want their homes to be as distinctive and unique as they are," Doppe said. "In Southern Nevada, where stucco homes with red tile roofs have been the norm for more than a decade, home buyers have embraced the Lamplight difference. With several elevations and a broad color palette within each style, no two homes are alike." The new Key West and Spanish colonial styles provide diverse styles to home buyers, said Mike Fowler of KTGY Group, an architectural firm working with the builder. The Key West home offers an optional metal roof, while the Spanish colonial style features wraparound porches, arches, low-pitched roofs and outdoor living areas. "Key West signature details include awnings, Bahama shutters, Caribbean colors and shallow roof pitches," Fowler said. "It's a very unique look influenced by both traditional Caribbean and Victorian styles." The homes also feature attics designed for storage with drop-down ladders. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, go east to Tenaya Way, head north to Rome Boulevard and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Wednesday, when it opens at noon. Carina Homes has completed eight Lamplight neighborhoods encompassing more than 1,000 homes, and has nine additional neighborhoods under development. Two additional residential developments and two urban village projects are planned.
