Alondra touts low-maintenance living

Home buyers at the Alondra condominium complex see the Sparrow model, priced from the $150,000s, as an alternative to a traditional single-family detached home, according to sales agent Christina La Verne.

"With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the Sparrow condominium home is a perfect alternative to a regular home," La Verne said, referring to the 1,253-square-foot floor plan.

She pointed out that many buyers prefer a condominium because the upkeep is less than that of a single-family home.

"They don't have to stress about mowing the lawn, trimming the bushes or cleaning the pool," La Verne said.

The development features two other floor plans.

The Songbird model has one bedroom and one bath in 720 square feet. It is priced from the high $90,000s.

The two-bedroom, two-bath Blue Jay home measures 1,121 square feet and has a wet bar. The second-floor units offer a fireplace. Prices start from the high $130,000s.

Standard in all units are raised-panel entry doors with satin chrome hardware; appliances; cherry-stained, raised-panel maple cabinetry with European hinges; and granite counter tops and surrounds in kitchens and baths.

To visit the sales office at 2451 N. Rainbow Blvd. take U.S. Highway 95 to Lake Mead Boulevard, exit east onto Rainbow Boulevard and go north.

The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
