Family finds residence at San Rafael

Chris and Stella Piccione found the first home for their family, which includes 3-week-old son, John Paul, at Pardee's San Rafael neighborhood in North Las Vegas.

"We were lucky," Chris Piccione said. "We looked at a lot of different builders but kept coming back to Pardee because I really like their construction techniques."

They selected a Plan Two design with an optional fourth bedroom and an optional balcony off of the master suite.

Chris Piccione, a construction consultant, and Stella Piccione, who works in the European marketing department for a major resort, were married in December.

The neighborhood's four two-story plans are priced from $254,900 to $295,900.

"Like every other new Pardee home, our San Rafael neighborhood features Energy Star homes designed to exceed national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent," sales director Rob Tuvell said.

The homes also have wiring for high-speed data.

Plan One measures 1,577 square feet and includes three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

Measuring 1,651 square feet, Plan Two has two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a den. It is available with as many as four bedrooms and three baths in a design measuring as large as 1,860 square feet.

Plan Three offers four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 1,820 square feet. A 1,999-square-foot configuration includes an optional game room.

Three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a loft highlight the 1,985-square-foot Plan Four design. With an optional game room, it can be expanded to as large as 2,331 square feet.

Designs feature volume ceilings, separate tubs and showers in the master suites, lofts, upstairs laundry rooms and two-car garages.

Neighborhood amenities include a park, walking path and tree-lined, curvilinear streets.

To visit, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte, go north to Ann Road and turn left. Visitors are welcome from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when the sales office and models open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has built nearly 30,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
