Gold Key customizes Sun City Anthem homes
Frank and Kathryn Hansen added more than 500 square feet to their Sun City Anthem home through Del Webb Corp.'s Gold Key program, which allows for customized changes to models at its age-qualified community in Henderson. The program gave the Hansens the opportunity to work with a design consultant and an architectural coordinator to make the changes in their home, the 3,009-square-foot Anthem model. "All the Del Webb people were helpful and professional," Frank Hansen said. "They made it easy to customize our home." Through the program, the couple enlarged their home's Nevada room and second bedroom, and converted its three-car garage to a third bedroom suite for visitors. They also redesigned the windows in its dining nook to maximize the views. "We have a fantastic view of the entire Las Vegas Valley, the mountain and the Strip," Kathryn Hansen said. The Hansens were also impressed with the community's amenities and Anthem Center. The 75,000-square-foot facility offers fitness, social and recreational opportunities for residents as well as Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge, which is open to the public. "Living in Sun City Anthem is like living in a resort," Frank Hansen said. "It's beautiful, and there's a lot to do. We use the fitness center every day, joined a gourmet dining club, and we love to play bridge twice a week. There are dances, special events, so many choices of activities. It's a lot of fun." Seventeen models are offered at the community, ranging from 1,080 to 3,009 square feet. Homes are priced from the high $130,000s to more than $500,000. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway. The sales office and model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
