Family's search ends at Mystic Canyon
Richmond American Homes' Mystic Canyon brought an end to the Richardson family's months-long search for a new home. "From the first moment we walked into the Huntington model home at Mystic Canyon, all of us had the same feeling of coming home," said Kevin Richardson about the house he and wife, Rose, and daughters, Taylor and Lang, will move into next year. "The Huntington really was the first house that we all agreed on. Rose and I love the design of the kitchen and great room, because it's great to entertain friends and family, and the girls love the huge bedrooms. They didn't even argue over who gets which room." "We must have been to every new model home in the valley during the past year and a half or so," Rose Richardson said. The 12-year residents of Las Vegas chose their 2,659-square-foot home because it "was designed with both beauty and function in mind," Kevin Richardson said. He said they also liked that the community will consist of only 60 single-story homes and the features of the house. Amenities include raised-panel interior doors, oak cabinets with concealed hinges, an appliance package and front-yard landscaping. The family plans to move into their new home, which will include a swimming pool, next fall. Three designs ranging from 2,387 to 3,263 square feet are available at the community. They are priced from the low $210,000s. To visit the neighborhood, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway then go east to Interstate 215. Proceed to Jones Boulevard, go north to Elkhorn Road, turn east and follow the signs. The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
