Resort living: Luxury at the Lake

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Strengthening its reputation as a leading golf destination, Lake Las Vegas Resort has expanded its championship golf course offerings from two to three with the Nov. 1 debut of The Falls Golf Club. The course is Southern Nevada's first designed by the PGA's Tom Weiskopf, and joins the Jack Nicklaus-designed Reflection Bay and SouthShore Golf Clubs.

Complementing the new 7,250-yard, par-72 course is an 18,000-square-foot, Tuscan-themed clubhouse. Reminiscent of an old winery, the clubhouse is adorned with a 60-foot bell tower and is home to The 19th Hole Restaurant and Grill.

"We've been extremely fortunate in developing our golf offerings at Lake Las Vegas," said R.F. Boeddeker, chairman and president of Lake Las Vegas Resort. "Working with Tom (Weiskopf) on the development of The Falls has been a wonderful experience, and the unique attributes of this course are perfect complements to Reflection Bay, SouthShore, and our next course, Tom Fazio's Rainbow Canyon. Lake Las Vegas Resort truly offers a golf experience unlike any other."

Lake Las Vegas Resort is a 2,600-acre golf and resort destination in Henderson. Its central amenity is a 320-acre lake, bringing together golf, hotels and luxury homes. Buyers can choose from custom-home sites, waterfront homes, villas and townhomes.

Overlooking the golf course, the villas are priced from $341,000 to $445,000.

Four residential options are available on the northern shore, offering homes priced from $400,000 to more than $1 million. Each neighborhood is adjacent to the Reflection Bay golf course.

Ravello is comprised of 24 European-style resort villas. Available in three designs, they offer as many as three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Prices start at $501,000.

Sorrento, a 52-home development of single- and two-story homes, offers three floor plans, ranging from two bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths to four bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Homes are priced from $713,000 to $1 million.
