Couple appreciate Renaissance pool

Kim and Tom George knew they wanted a pool at their new home when they moved to Southern Nevada from Pittsburgh last year. After considering a variety of options, they purchased a ceramic-epoxy pool by Renaissance Pools & Spas.

"We had seen an advertisement for Renaissance Pools & Spas and their products and promises sounded very good," Kim George said. "Just to be sure though, we did as much research as possible before making our final decision. We considered all types of pools, including concrete, and decided that Renaissance was the best choice for us. We liked the superior quality of construction, the ease of maintenance and, most of all, the lifetime warranty. Also, when we were shopping for our home, we had seen many resale homes with concrete pools that were in really bad shape. That convinced us even further to go with a ceramic-epoxy pool."

They were pleased with the styles, finishes and accessories available.

"We chose the diamond-texture finish for our pool, which is wonderful. When we were at the sales center, we compared it to the smooth texture and we felt it was a lot warmer. It really helps warm the pool even if you don't heat the pool," Tom George said.

The couple also said they were happy with the installation process.

"Our pool took only about four weeks to install, which included construction of the extra decking we wanted," Kim George said. "The workers were phenomenal, keeping us updated on everything and doing a wonderful job from start to finish. We really appreciated receiving such personalized service, as this was our first experience with building a pool. When the workers were finished, they left our yard in great shape, which made for a very smooth transition to the completion of our landscaping.

"It's just been great. We've had no problems at all. We've been swimming every day and we only had to make one phone call to Renaissance, which was to ask about changing our filtering times for the winter. They were really nice and had all the information ready for us."

Renaissance is a leading seller of in-ground, prefabricated pools in Southern Nevada and the exclusive dealer for the patented ceramic-epoxy pools built by Viking Pools.

Ceramic-epoxy pools and spas are built with advanced composite materials that are stronger than other pool-building materials, are installed faster than gunite pools, use fewer chemicals, and have problem-resistant surfaces, according to a company representative.

Prices for installed pools range from about $16,000 to $32,000. Discounts are offered to those who install their own pools.

More than 40 indoor and outdoor displays are featured at the company's two showrooms: 1245 N. Boulder Highway in Henderson, and 2180 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas.
