Rancho Lake condominium fits pair's needs

Fred and Jeanice Dickson sold their 2,000-square-foot home in North Las Vegas, and purchased a 1,000-square-foot residence at Rancho Lake, a gated condominium development at 2075 N. Rancho Drive, just south of Lake Mead Boulevard.

The Dicksons, both natives of Southern Nevada, purchased their two-bedroom unit about two weeks ago.

"Everything is built well and the price is right," Fred Dickson said. "We paid $139,500 by the time everything was done. There are more expensive condominiums in front that are going to be built, and as soon as they're built, this home will increase in value."

The residences range from roughly 750 to 1,100 square feet. Four one-bedroom models are priced from $95,000; three two-bedroom units are priced from $127,000; and three three-bedroom plans start from $145,000.

Jeanice Dickson said she "loves" the layout of her new home.

"I like that the living room and the kitchen are in the middle, and the bedrooms are on each side. I also like the fact that we have all-electric utilities and appliances."

The appliance package includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, range with hood, washer, dryer and garbage disposal.

Fred Dickson praised the resident amenities.

"The parking is excellent here," he said, referring to the covered spaces. "And they have a big pool."

Additional amenities include a clubhouse with an exercise room, an outdoor spa, playground, and barbecue area with gas grills.

A monthly association fee of $122 covers water, sewer, trash, clubhouse upkeep, and the maintenance and insurance of the building exterior.

Rancho Lake is a 300-unit condominium complex by BHP Developers.

Hours at the sales office are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
