Sports enthusiast scores home at Paseo Ridge

Builder allows collector to customize home for memorabilia

Steve Lombard is a sports fan, and with his new home at Paseo Ridge in North Las Vegas, he can showcase all the sports treasures he's acquired over the years.

"My office will be wall-to-wall sports memorabilia and the loft will highlight the glory days of the Steelers," the long-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan said of his Ridgeway floor plan home at the KB Home neighborhood.

Before he visited the neighborhood, Lombard looked at many model homes from different builders. He liked the Ridgeway model, but said it was the options on the floor plan that really impressed him.

"The floor plan is effective and efficient," he said. "I've been able to have a say in what options go into the house and I really like that. I'll have an open office, a loft and a retreat off the master bedroom. That's amazing."

The two-story home measures 2,973 square feet with four bedrooms, loft and den options, 2 1/2 baths and a two-car garage.

In addition to the floor plan, Lombard said he loved the value he received.

"It was a no-brainer," he said. "I came from Southern California where a house like this would cost three times as much as my new house at Paseo Ridge."

The neighborhood also offers the two-story Skyline, Vista, Horizon and Prospect floor plans, measuring from 2,023 to 2,784 square feet. They provide three or four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages. Options include lofts, dens, game rooms and extended master baths.

Prices start in the low $300,000s.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, head east to Willis Street, go north to El Campo Grande Avenue and turn left. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
