The crown jewel of William Lyon Homes' Mountain Falls community is its 18-hole golf course, which recently introduced a new 2,400-square-foot pro shop.
"As Mountain Falls Golf Club enters its fourth season, it's exciting to witness the transformation. This town hasn't seen anything like this," said Neil Pierce, general manager and director of golf. "Our residents and golfers couldn't be more pleased with the value we're offering them. Affordable golf, private lessons, challenging holes, pristine conditions, world-class amenities -- it's all here."

The 1,050-acre community is located about 45 miles west of Interstate 15.
The shop's exterior reflects the Tuscan theme of Mountain Falls, according to Greg Moynahan, senior superintendent for the builder.
"There's a porch that wraps around the entire pro shop area with tables where golfers can enjoy the views while waiting for the starter," Moynahan said. "Mountain Falls residents and area golfers who have enjoyed our course for the clean air, wide open spaces and challenging holes have even more to look forward to with the opening of the golf shop."
The shop sells a range of products for men, women and junior golfers. It overlooks the practice facility and is adjacent to a new short-game area, which includes two putting greens, three chipping greens, a practice bunker, and driving range with mountain views.
A 16,500-square-foot clubhouse and resident facility is scheduled to open in early 2006. The facility will host golf tournaments and other special events. A restaurant and bar will be open to the public. Meantime, a temporary clubhouse is open and can accommodate as many as 100 guests.
"Mountain Falls is so peaceful you can hear a pin drop," Pierce said. "We have views of Mount Charleston from nearly every hole. And with our new electric carts, the only thing players will smell is the green grass underfoot."
The single-story neighborhoods of Cascata, Tramonto and Bella Sera are open for sales. Prices start from the low $200,000s.
To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road and go west about 45 miles. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road, then proceed to Hafen Ranch Road and turn right, then left on Lakeview Drive. The info center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
