Crescendo nears closeout
Pardee Homes has nearly closed out sales at Crescendo, one of two of its neighborhoods in the Seven Hills community that feature the Energy Star seal. The final nine home sites, which will be released on Saturday, measure from 11,000 to 12,000 square feet, almost double the size of a typical lot, according to company sales director Ray Landry. "This classy neighborhood has been so popular, it will be selling out in less than three years," Landry said. "With its elevated terrain, Crescendo has some rather remarkable views of the Las Vegas Strip and the valley below. To the south is a wonderfully unspoiled desert mountain wilderness." The Energy Star seal is the Environmental Protection Agency's verification of a product's energy efficiency. Homes at the neighborhood earned the designation through use of low-emissivity windows, high-performance heating and cooling systems, sealed air ducts, and other design features that reduce the home's energy usage by more than 30 percent of the standard home. The Italianate-style neighborhood offers three plans ranging from 2,473 to 3,068 square feet. Prices start from $227,450 to $259,950. Each plan includes four bedrooms, three baths, a three-car garage, and a family room with a fireplace and media niche. Options include bonus rooms, extra bedrooms and lofts. Standard features include high ceilings, island kitchens, cultured-marble counter tops in secondary baths and laundry rooms, gas fireplaces in family rooms, and owner suites with separate showers and tubs and dual sinks. More than one-third of the 1,300-acre Seven Hills community has been allocated for open areas, trails, and parks with tennis and basketball courts, softball and soccer fields, and playgrounds. There are four city parks within the community. To visit, take St. Rose Parkway to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue and go south. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. Pardee has built more than 21,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952. The company also developed the valley's first master-planned community, Spring Valley, 25 years ago. The builder is also developing Rancho Las Palmas in the southeastern valley, Nevada Trails in the southwest and Eldorado in North Las Vegas.
