Construction crews are at work on the Fun Zone Water Park at Rhodes Ranch, a master-planned golf course community in the southwest part of the valley. The project is slated to be completed by the end of the year, according to the builder.
The nearly 7-acre site will include indoor and outdoor recreation for members of the community.

Included in the Fun Zone design is an 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with slides, rope bridges, squirt gun stations and a 1,000-gallon bucket that fills and tips over every half hour.
The project also includes a 25-meter lap pool, two eight-person spas, a 12- person group spa, four covered cabanas, one exterior lighted basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a children's playground.
Rhodes Homes opened the 35,000-square-foot R-Club Recreation Center in the community last month. The center houses an indoor workout facility, a full-length basketball court, two racquetball/handball courts and six billiards tables.
In addition, the facility offers a variety of group classes such as Pilates, yoga, tai chi, ab blast, step, boxing boot camp, sculpting and basic stretch in its group exercise room.
The neighborhoods with the golf course community include The Collections, offering three different series -- the Monet, Matisse and Van Gogh. Pricing for the neighborhood starts in the high $300,000s.
Rhodes Homes has recently added two new models to The Collection model park with its Rembrandt series. The new floor plans are 3,021 and 3,431 square feet.
The two-story 3,021-square-foot plan includes three bedrooms, three baths, den, loft and two-car garage.
The 3,431-square-foot design includes five bedrooms, 41/2 baths, loft and three-car tandem garage. Prices for these two plans are $539,990 and $574,990, respectively, with home sites available in the Links and Lakes neighborhood.
Palms Bay offers three two-story models ranging from 1,734 to 2,400 square feet. The two-story homes have two-car garages and three or four bedrooms. Home prices start in the high-$300,000s.
Pacific Mist offers three homes ranging from 1,720 to 2,255 square feet. The two-story homes have two-car garages, vaulted ceilings and three or four bedrooms. Prices begin in the mid-$300,000s.
