Del Webb donates to NLV chamber

To celebrate the debut of its Sun City Aliante community, Del Webb Corp. gave a financial boost to the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Chris Haines, president of Del Webb Corp., recently presented a check for $2,500 to Sharon Powers, executive director at the chamber.

"This contribution is to signify the opening of Sun City Aliante," Haines said. "We are excited about the extraordinary success of our newest community."

The funds will be used to support chamber programs.

"Del Webb is always supportive," Powers said. "They jumped right on board with chamber activities."

Sun City Aliante is designed for people age 55 and older, and is being built around an 18-hole, par-72 municipal golf course. Planned resident amenities include a recreation center with tennis and bocce courts, a swimming pool, fitness center, as well as club and hobby rooms.

Floor plans measure from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and are priced from the low $140,000s.

A temporary sales office is located at 7891 Tropical Parkway, Suite 120, in the Centennial Marketplace at U.S. Highway 95 and Centennial Parkway.

Sun City Aliante is part of the 1,905-acre Aliante master-planned community being developed by North Valley Enterprises, a partnership between Del Webb and American Nevada Corp. It is located at the far northern end of the city and is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive to the north, Centennial Parkway to the south, Decatur Boulevard to the west, and Clayton Street to the east.
