Centex Homes awards brand-new house at Chaparral Trails to couple

Paul and Vicki Lambert were honored recently during a ceremony in which they were given a home valued at more than $150,000 at Chaparral Trails by Centex Homes dba Real Homes.

"We're still pinching ourselves because we can't believe we actually won," Vicki Lambert said. "Just this weekend we were packing up stuff at our house in California to move it to the condo we live in here in Las Vegas. And now instead we can move it all into a terrific new home of our very own. It's a dream come true."

The Lamberts were given the keys to their home along with a load of groceries during a reception attended by co-sponsors of the giveaway, including Brad Burns, president of Centex Homes dba Real Homes.

The three-bedroom, two-bath residence has the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star certification and is guaranteed to lower heating and cooling costs.

Homes in the northwestern valley community feature oak cabinetry, raised-panel doors, dual vanities, Roman tubs, cultured-marble sinks, and decorative switches and light fixtures. Additionally, the homes have low-e windows and brick paver driveways.

Community amenities include trails and a private park.

The builder operates seven new-home neighborhoods in the valley: Chaparral Trails, Mountain Sky and Sedona Falls in the northwest; and Pearl Cove, Santa Rosa, Creekside and Stratford in North Las Vegas. Prices range from the $140,000s to the mid-$200,000s.

For a limited time, free appliances, as well as discounted closing costs, are being offered to those who finance their homes through the builder's preferred lender.
