Coventry at Anthem buyer praises location

Real estate agents tell first-time buyers that location can be the most important factor in choosing a new home. Strip hotel employee Mary Stevens agrees.
"I chose Coventry Homes at Anthem for its convenient location. It's close to my work, but not next door to the Strip," she said. "It doesn't take long to get to work."
Stevens said she, her boyfriend Matt Baum and her yellow labrador "Action" like the neighborhood for its wide selection of recreational amenities.
The 1,503-square-foot Camrose model is Stevens' first house, and she says she was attracted to the easy upkeep and spaciousness of the one-story home.
"It was right in my price range and I love the openness of the kitchen and living room, since that is where I spend most of my time," Stevens said.
The Camrose has three bedrooms, or two bedrooms and a den, two bathrooms, a family room and a two-car garage.
Option include a larger garage, fourth bedroom and hobby room.
The homes have color coordinated concrete tile roofs and front-yard landscaping with an irrigation system.
Interiors have raised panel interior doors and ceramic-tile counter tops.
Owner suites have walk-in closets and a soaking tub and a separate shower.
To visit, take Eastern Avenue, two miles south of Lake Mead Drive and follow the signs along Anthem Parkway.
The model homes are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Friday.
The homes range from 1,503 to 2,737 square feet and are priced from the low $140,000s to the low $200,000s.
