Athletic club opens at Anthem Country Club

A 13,700-square-foot recreational facility recently opened at Anthem Country Club, offering an athletic club, salon and other amenities.
Its 2,500-square-foot athletic club offers cardiovascular and strength-training equipment as well as an aerobics studio, lap pool, swimming pool, wading pool and spa. Sand volleyball and tennis courts will also be available.
Pam Raby, fitness director for the athletic club, said such a facility creates pride in the community and will be a place members will want to visit often.
"Besides the workout options, we've got some fun activities to enjoy at the athletic club from the relaxing salon for all of your pampering needs to the activities we have planned like fun runs and wellness lectures," Raby said.
Some of the programs the athletic club offers are hiking excursions, water aerobics, swimming lessons, youth programs, fitness assessments, individualized exercise programs and personal training.
"Each member of our fitness team holds a degree in exercise science, a related field and/or are nationally certified," Raby said.
The salon will provide members with hair, nail, massage therapy and facial services.
Other amenities at the center will include day care for members with young children, locker rooms and a pool-side cafe.
The country club community, located in southern Henderson, is being developed by the Del Webb Corp. It features a trail system, which will connect neighborhoods to the recreational amenities, as well as a 4-acre park called The Commons.
A championship golf course takes advantage of the mountain terrain. PGA Golfer Hale Irwin and golf course architect Keith Foster have used every aspect of the terrain to create this 7,300-yard, par-72 championship golf course that will offer as many as five tee boxes. Equity golf memberships and recallable golf memberships are available.
The country club's 33,000-square-foot clubhouse includes plans for a dining room, a board meeting room, a grill room and sports bar, administrative offices, a golf pro shop, and member-only locker rooms with lounge areas.
There are 17 floor plans with more than 50 architectural variations, including basements and casitas. Nearly all homes will back up to the golf course, landscaped trails or open areas.
Anthem Country Club offers four series of homes in addition to custom-home sites.
The Impressionist Collection's floor plans range from 1,275 to 1,953 square feet, and are priced from $161,000 to $214,000.
Floor plans range from 1,922 to 2,703 square feet in The Baroque Collection, which has prices starting from $233,000 to $392,500.
Homes in the Romantic Collection range from 2,725 to 5,223 square feet and are priced from $321,000 to $489,000.
The Renaissance Collection offers floor plans ranging from 3,104 to 5,769 square feet, with prices ranging from $391,000 to $590,000.
The country club features a design center offering a variety of options, such as floor coverings, counter tops, cabinets, light fixtures, appliances, landscaping and window coverings. Consultation is also available.
Anthem Country Club will cover about 1,000 acres of the nearly 5,000-acre master-planned community. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, about three miles past Lake Mead Drive, and follow the signs to the sales center, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Del Webb Corp. is developing Anthem Country Club, Coventry Homes communities throughout Southern Nevada, Sun City Anthem and Sun City MacDonald Ranch in Henderson.
