Richmond fulfills buyers' dreams
For their first home, Robert and Aubri White found exactly what they were dreaming of at Richmond American Homes' Meridian Hills neighborhood in North Las Vegas. "We had looked far and wide for the home of our dreams. When we heard that Richmond had a new community in the north, we jumped at the opportunity. We visited Meridian Hills and it seemed as if it was meant to be. We found a floor plan we loved and the community is in a fantastic part of town. We couldn't be more excited," Aubri White said. "I've grown up in the northwest area of the valley and I am very pleased that Aubri and I found our home in that same setting," Robert White added. "The architecture offered at Meridian Hills was a very appealing aspect and just a bonus to the great layout of the floor plans." Three one- and two-story designs, each with front porches, are available. The couple purchased a four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath Nantucket plan priced from the $310,000s. The two-story residence measures 1,853 square feet. "My favorite aspect of the Nantucket is that the kitchen opens up into the family room and nook. Now when I entertain, I can be a part of the action and still take care of the details in the kitchen," Aubri White said. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and an optional retreat. The living and dining rooms open to the second-floor's ceiling. Also available is the single-story Southhampton, which measures 1,609 square feet. It features three bedrooms, two baths, a family room, combined dining-living room, and kitchen nook. A covered patio is optional. The home is priced from the $300,000s. The largest model, the 2,026-square-foot Manchester, is priced from the $320,000s. It has four bedrooms, three baths, a family room, combined dining-living room, kitchen nook, and dual walk-in closets in the master bedroom. A balcony is optional. The home has a two-car garage. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Craig Road, go west to Martin Luther King Boulevard and turn south. Proceed to Alexander Road and go west. The models and sales office are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon. The builder, a subsidiary of MDC Holdings Inc., offers more than 30 new subdivisions in the valley. It also has a mortgage division.
