Newlyweds choose Riviera

     When newlyweds Matthew and Amy Forster decided to buy their first home together, they searched all over the Las Vegas Valley. The couple eventually chose a home in Pardee Homes' Riviera neighborhood in the Seven Hills community in Henderson.
      "We chose Seven Hills because it is so clean and the landscape is beautiful," Matthew Forster said. "It feels like its own little town -- separate from the city, yet convenient to the things we need for day-to-day living. The parks, trails and terraced landscape just make it a beautiful place to live, with great views throughout the various neighborhoods."
      The recreational opportunities throughout the community were also attractive to the couple.
      "First, we enjoy playing tennis at Sonata Park, which is right across the street from our neighborhood," Amy Forster said. "We also appreciate having walking trails, parks and so many other recreational amenities so close to our home."
      The Forsters were also pleased with their selection of floor plan.
      "We bought the Portofino plan at Riviera for several reasons," Matthew Forster said. "It's a spacious, yet convenient floor plan with nice vaulted ceilings and three bedrooms. In our case, the secondary bedrooms will serve well as a home office/computer center and an exercise/home entertainment room."
      Seven Hills offers a range of housing choices -- from single-family homes from the $130,000s to executive homes priced from $310,000. Buyers can tour dozens of model homes and choose from more than 45 floor plans. Also available are custom-home sites, which are priced from $170,000 to $950,000.
      Neighborhoods open for sales at the 1,300-acre community are: Renaissance, Riviera, Crescendo and Presidio by Pardee Homes; Villagio by Primack Homes; Monte Nero by Presley Homes; Palermo West, Capistrano and Naples by Kimball Hill Homes; Palatine Hill by Capital Pacific Homes; the Venezia and Terracina custom neighborhoods by Silver Canyon Partnership; and Corcovado Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp.
      To visit, take Lake Mead Drive to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue. Daily hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
