Del Webb incorporates fitness amenities into Sun City Anthem

     Sun City Anthem residents who enjoy exercising can often be seen in Anthem Center, a 75,000-square-foot facility with a fitness area with swimming pools, a walking track, dining areas, and craft and meeting rooms.
      "We have a wide variety of cardiovascular equipment to choose from," Dan Gorski, fitness director, said. "There's equipment for members at all levels of proficiency, ranging from treadmills to cross-trainer machines. For serious enthusiasts, we have strength-training machines in addition to cable crossovers and freeweights."
      Several aerobic classes are offered, including yoga, tai chi, stretch, step, body shaping and water aerobics.
      At an elevation of 2,834 feet, Anthem Center provides views of the mountains, city and The Revere golf course. It is also home to Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge, which is open to the public.
      At its 10-year buildout, the age-qualified Sun City Anthem community will have 10,000 homes and three championship golf courses.
      Fifteen models are offered, ranging from 1,080 to 3,009 square feet or larger. Homes are priced from the high $120,000s to more than $500,000.
      To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past Lake Mead Drive. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
