U.S. Home opens Stillwater Canyon in southwest area

Presales are under way at Stillwater Canyon, U.S. Home's first neighborhood in the southwestern valley. The floor plans are best described as "flexible," according to sales executive Vicki Zoot.
"Each floor plan was carefully designed so that the living spaces can be modified to create a final home that works beautifully for everyone from a retired couple to a large family. It all depends on how that individual home buyer wants to make use of the space," Zoot said.
Model homes are scheduled to open by mid-June.
Nine floor plans are available, each with granite counter tops in the kitchen, oak cabinets and baseboards, and ceramic-tile entry flooring.
Homes are priced from the $220,000s.
All are built on lots that measure at least 70X100.
Three floor plans are single-story designs, ranging from 2,167 to 3,070 square feet. Standard features include high and vaulted ceilings.
There are six two-story designs, which range from 2,567 to 4,500 square feet. Among them is the Pacific Heights, a 3,077-square-foot home that can be built with as many as five bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a 19-foot ceiling in the living area and entry. A loft, den, office and bonus room are optional.
Also a two-story design is the San Clemente, which starts at 3,800 square feet but can be expanded to 4,500 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms. The owner suite offers dual walk-in closets and a retreat with an optional fireplace.
Kitchens, per plan, offer sealed gas-burner cook tops, nooks, double ovens, breakfast bars, island workstations and pantries.
Additional interior features include media niches, plant shelves and arched doorways. The exteriors are highlighted by carriage lights.
For buyers with special needs, the builder will widen the hallways and doorways.
To visit the sales office, take Tropicana Avenue to Fort Apache Road, then head south about a half mile. The office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
The builder has also started presales at Carriage Hills, which is south of the Carriage Lane neighborhood in the southeastern valley. Carriage Lane is in its final phase of sales.
To visit, take Lake Mead Drive to Green Valley Parkway, head south and follow the signs.
In the planning stage is Palazzo Monte, which will be developed within the Seven Hills community in Henderson.
