Mother's Day celebrants visit Green Valley
The "Mother's Day Magic" celebration at Green Valley Plaza drew hundreds of visitors for an afternoon of fun and entertainment, according to representatives of American Nevada Corp., the primary developer of Green Valley. The event included sidewalk sales, prizes, complimentary flowers for mothers, cookie decorating, face painting, a balloon artist and a magician. A highlight of the festivities was a mother-daughter look-alike contest, which was won by Rusha D. Upchurch and her daughter, Kanitra Upchurch. Entertainment was provided by a steel drum band, a barbershop quartet and various other singing groups. American Nevada specializes in the design and development of master-planned communities and commercial properties. The company is also a partner in Silver Canyon Partnership, the developer of Seven Hills.
