Pardee promotes energy-efficient homes

Pardee Homes in Seven Hills and Green Valley are at least 30 percent more energy-efficient than standard homes in the Las Vegas Valley, according to ConSol, an energy-efficiency consulting company.

After verifying that the builder met eligibility standards, ConSol awarded the ComfortWise designation to the builder's homes in the Renaissance and Crescendo neighborhoods in Seven Hills and at Verona in Green Valley. The homes also feature the Energy Star seal, which is endorsed by the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency and Southwest Gas Co.

Mark Ginsberg, deputy assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy, praised Pardee for its role in building Energy Star-certified homes.

"Pardee Homes is offering consumers an incredible service at no extra cost for features that will save the home buyer money for years to come," Ginsberg said. "Because Pardee offers energy-efficient services, it really shows that Pardee cares about their customers."

The builder's Verona neighborhood offers three single- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 1,400 to 2,400 square feet and priced from $157,950 to $200,950. It is located on Pecos Road between Warm Springs Road and Windmill Parkway in Henderson.

Crescendo offers single- and two-story homes ranging from 2,473 to 3,068 square feet and priced from $218,450 to $243,950. Priced from the low $300,000s, Renaissance offers five single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 2,700 to 4,686 square feet. Terraced home sites are available.

To visit Seven Hills, take St. Rose Parkway to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue, and go south following the signs.

The company also has several active neighborhoods at its Eldorado community in North Las Vegas and its Rancho Las Brisas community in the southeastern valley. Both communities include parks, schools and other common amenities that were donated to local government by the builder.

All sales offices and model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee Homes has been developing neighborhoods in Las Vegas since 1952 and has built homes for more than 25,000 families in Southern Nevada. Last year, Pardee closed sales on 851 homes locally.
