Area near Pardee site develops

Cheyenne residents have convenient access to shopping from the neighborhood in Pardee Homes' Shadow Mountain Ranch community, according to Rob Tuvell, sales director for the builder.

"A new power retail center is being developed on a 70-acre site at Interstate 215 and Tropicana Avenue that will be just minutes from Shadow Mountain Ranch," Tuvell said. "It makes living in a Cheyenne home even more convenient for families."

Currently, Tuvell said, shopping and dining options are within a 4-mile drive at Flamingo Road and Buffalo Drive, and a 100-acre commercial center has been proposed at Flamingo and the Las Vegas Beltway.

All homes feature the Energy Star label at Cheyenne, where buyers can choose from four single- and two-story floor plans. Homes measure from 1,383 to 2,442 square feet with as many as four bedrooms, three baths and a bonus room. Prices range from $156,950 to $198,950.

The Energy Star label means the homes exceed national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent.

Standard features in the homes include oak stair handrails with white pickets; lighting fixtures; and kitchens with laminate counter tops, recessed-panel oak cabinetry with concealed hinges, pantries and appliance packages.

Options include a home office package, ceiling fans, intercom, central vacuum system, upgraded appliances, Corian or granite kitchen counter tops, and a spa tub in the master bath.

"Pardee designed Cheyenne for busy families, with the convenience of second-floor laundry rooms and linen closets," Tuvell said. "The kitchens have ... preparation islands or breakfast bars that can also serve as the hub of the home."

Energy Star homes are also available in the Montana neighborhood at Shadow Mountain Ranch.

To visit, take Tropicana Avenue west, past Durango Drive, to Grand Canyon Drive and turn left.

The sales office and model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has built homes for more than 25,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952.
