Couple impressed by location of KB Home's Bella Terra

Southern Highlands is a great location for those who love to spend time outdoors, according to Greg Ryan, a new-home buyer at Bella Terra, a KB Home neighborhood within the southwestern valley community.

"Southern Highlands is surrounded by off-road trails," Ryan said. "I can jump on my mountain bike at home, and hit dirt in minutes."

Ryan and his wife, Corrina, purchased their home last year, and also enjoy hiking with their two dogs.

"It's nice to get out and explore, plus our dogs get a break from the back yard," Corrina Ryan said. "We never run out of trails around here."

The couple chose the Augusta plan, a two-story home that measures 2,321 square feet. It was somewhat larger than they needed.

"People kept telling us to get a small, starter home for just the two of us," Greg Ryan said. "But we thought `why?' We knew we wanted to have kids in the next few years. So, we bit the bullet and got four bedrooms. We had to keep our budget tight in the beginning, but we knew it was a good investment, both financially and for our family."

The couple enjoy spending time at home, and have planted vegetable and rose gardens in their back yard.

"It's just a beautiful place to live, inside and out," Corrina Ryan said.

Bella Terra offers six models and 13 floor plans, ranging from 1,151 to 2,972 square feet. Single- and two-story designs are available.

The homes can be built with two to six bedrooms, two to four baths and two-car garages. Prices start in the $150,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road and exit west. Proceed to Industrial Road, turn left, drive to Cactus Avenue and turn right. Drive to Valley View Boulevard and turn left. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

The builder offers one-stop shopping in its design center at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201, just south of Warm Springs Road. The KB Homebuyers Club and the Home Finding Center provide free financial advice, including credit reports, and assistance locating a new home in one of its more than 20 neighborhoods within the valley. The builder's full-service mortgage company is also available to assist new-home buyers.
