Research leads buyer to Aliante

Karla Wilson knew she wanted a home in the northern part of the Las Vegas Valley. After checking out several new and resale properties, she decided that the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas fit her needs perfectly.

"I am in the mortgage banking business, and I am familiar with various builders in Southern Nevada," Wilson said.

"I was also familiar with Aliante and the excellent reputation it had for both its builders and the community amenities. So, I was sure to look at everything available in Aliante before making my final decision."

Wilson bought the one-story Plan Two design at Pardee Homes' Seasons neighborhood.

"I wanted the convenience of a one-story home, and the Plan Two design was perfect. It is unusually large for a one-story home with an open floor plan that includes a huge kitchen and family room area. It's a home that is equally comfortable for entertaining or for normal day-to-day living," she said.

"I was also very impressed by the Pardee Homes sales staff. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to all of my questions and requests."

Wilson said she looks forward to life in a master-planned environment.

"I like the concept, and Aliante is a wonderful master plan," she said. "There is a comprehensive plan that includes parks, trails, a (municipal) golf course and future commercial development, which creates a complete living environment."

Aliante comprises 1,905 acres and includes all-ages and age-qualified villages, which will collectively have as many as 7,500 homes.

In addition to Pardee, D.R. Horton, KB Home and Pulte Homes are building homes in the all-ages village. Del Webb is developing the age-qualified Sun City Aliante.

Homes are priced from the $180,000s to the $500,000s.

Nearly 430 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes.

An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south.
