Summerlin Sam Celebrates

Summerlin Sam, the jack rabbit mascot of Summerlin, recently celebrated his fifth birthday with the help of the Magical Hula Girls, who performed for more than 2,500 party-goers at The Gardens Park. Sam, who is considered the goodwill ambassador of the community, hosted the Hawaiian-themed celebration with the help of other community mascots and children's characters. He appears at dozens of special events, attends special patient activities at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, and puts a smile on the faces of all who see him, according to Tom Warden, vice president of marketing and community relations for The Howard Hughes Corp.
