MacDonald Highlands releases custom-home sites

Custom-home sites that are one-half acre in size and situated along DragonRidge Golf Club have been released in the Bent Green enclave at MacDonald Highlands in Henderson.

"These are spectacular home sites, with some lots exceeding one-half acre in size and most offering fantastic golf and city views," said Rich MacDonald, president of the MacDonald Cos.

In addition, seven custom-home sites remain in the guard-gated community's Kings Links area. These lots measure from about one-third acre to one-half acre and are adjacent to the golf course and a community park.

Upon completion, the 1,200-acre hillside community will feature luxury residences within 17 neighborhoods. Eight custom-home neighborhoods are under development, with lots priced from the $160,000s to more than $2 million.

Active custom neighborhoods include The Highlands, offering lots with partial city and mountain views; Lochmere with golf frontage, lake and mountain views; Palisades and Lairmont with golf frontage, city and mountain views; Montrose with golf frontage and mountain views; and Lochinver Ridge and Glenbrook Canyon, featuring hillside lots with city and mountain views. Stonehaven at MacDonald Highlands features semicustom homes by Toll Bros.

Central to the community is DragonRidge, which incorporates the natural slopes and arroyos into its Jay Morrish and David Druzisky design.

The clubhouse, which is scheduled for completion next year, will feature a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, upscale dining room, and a mixed grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open. Tee times, as well as golf and social memberships, are available to members and nonmembers.

The community's master plan includes three parks encompassing about 10 acres with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; play areas; and picnic facilities. Fitness trails will meander throughout the community.

To visit the information office at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and travel south.

The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

The community is hosting the Street of Dreams housing tour through June 16. The event features four showcase homes valued from about $1.995 million to $3.75 million.
