Energy Star homes ready at Eldorado Highlands

Pardee Homes' Eldorado Highlands neighborhoods of Talavera, Fontana and Mandevilla include the Energy Star program that keeps homes warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer while reducing the cost of energy.

"The homes at Eldorado Highlands exceed national energy-efficiency standards," sales director Rob Tuvell said. "With high-performance windows, engineered heating and cooling systems, and tightly sealed air ducts, this program is designed to increase a home's energy efficiency by at least 30 percent."

Additional features include specially treated windows designed to reduce fabric fade, and vinyl-framed windows that reduce outside noise.

The homes are on an elevated site near the 23-acre Seastrand Park within Pardee's Eldorado master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Among the three neighborhoods are 12 single- and two-story floor plans.

Talavera's designs offer three to five bedrooms and measure from 1,383 to 2,442 square feet. Prices start from $137,450 to $176,950.

Fontana's homes range from 1,594 to 2,931 square feet with three to six bedrooms, and are priced from $151,950 to $211,450.

Homes with as many as eight bedrooms and six baths are featured at Mandevilla. The floor plans measure from 2,512 to 3,899 square feet and are priced from $198,950 to $235,450.

Each neighborhood offers options such as dens, lofts, extended master suites, bonus rooms, balconies and three-car garages.

"As Pardee Homes intended in 1990, Eldorado has become a vibrant stand-alone community with every accommodation necessary for comfortable, affordable family living away from the big city traffic and noise," Tuvell said.

Eldorado includes a fire station, an elementary school and two parks.

To visit, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte and head north into the community. The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has been building homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
