Del Webb's construction touted
As a former project manager, Frank Coffee took notice of the energy-efficient residences at Del Webb's Sun City Aliante. "Originally, I purchased Sun City Aliante's Laurel model as an investment property, however I've been so enthused with the place, I decided to move in," Coffee said. The 1,576-square-foot design offers two bedrooms, two baths, a den, great room, nook, two-car garage and optional casita. Coffee noticed the home's Environments for Living building technology, which includes a special ventilation system that ensures less dust, fewer odors and more balanced temperatures. The energy-efficient technology also includes low-e windows and blown-in cellulose insulation. All of the homes are built to guidelines that exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star standards and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. "The value of my new home has been tremendous," Coffee said. "From sales to construction to customer service, the people at Del Webb have been very pleasant to deal with. The construction team was very timely with building my home as well. They stayed on their two-month schedule and did not encounter one delay." In addition to the Laurel, the community offers six single-story floor plans ranging from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet. All homes include front- and backyard landscaping. Prices start from the low $300,000s to the mid-$430,000s. The development is planned to include a recreation center with a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms. Tennis and bocce courts are open. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Sun City Aliante is the age-qualified component of the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Amenities include the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park with a dinosaur-themed play area, as well as a group picnic area, an amphitheater, soccer fields, and tennis and volleyball courts. The Aliante Golf Club, a 6,900-yard, par-72 course, is open for public play. Commercial development and other amenities are planned.
