NBA star moves to Boca Raton

National Basketball Association star Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics has purchased a vacation home at Boca Raton Luxury Condominiums, a development located south of the Strip.

"I've always loved Las Vegas, and I'm excited about my purchase of a home at Boca Raton," Pierce said. "During the off-season, I want to be in a place where I can relax yet still be close to the action, and with everything that Boca will provide, I know I will be set."

He purchased the Caravella model, a two-story unit with a private courtyard entrance and parking area.

The Caravella is available in 10 floor plans, each appointed with 12-foot ceilings with crown moldings, six-inch baseboards, stainless steel appliances, and tile flooring and surrounds in the kitchen and baths.

The Casita and Penthouse floor plans are also available.

At buildout, the $400 million development will comprise four mid-rise buildings with underground parking structures. Resident amenities will include a 15-acre backdrop of palm trees and resort-style pools and spas, walking and jogging trails, fitness centers, concierge service, shuttle service, and a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse.

Homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s to more than $1 million.

The sales office at 2475 W. Serene Ave. is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
