Buyers' search for home ends at Aliante
When seven-year residents Leann and Marvin Davis were ready to buy their second home in Southern Nevada, they searched for about three months, looking at more than a dozen new neighborhoods. Ultimately, the couple found the combination of features they were looking for at the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. "We were looking for a spacious single-story design, preferably in an all-single-story neighborhood. Then, a friend who lives in this area told us about Aliante. We drove out, took a look at the design of this community, and said, `Wow, this is really going to be great,'" Leann Davis said. "There is an excellent selection of homes and we were very pleased to find that D.R. Horton was building two all-single-story neighborhoods here. Then we walked into the Plan 2150 home at the Manor at Aliante and we knew our search was over... We were also familiar with D.R. Horton and the quality associated with their homes and neighborhoods, which made us feel even more confident about our decision to buy a home here." The couple said they also are looking forward to the community's lifestyle. "There is a beautiful park with a lake, a championship golf course, miles of walking trails and lots of other opportunities for recreation and leisure activities. As development continues, it will only get better, with more parks and services that residents like to have close to home. It will be a very desirable place to own a home," she said. Aliante is being developed by North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. It consists of a primary village and an age-qualified village on 1,900 acres, and will have about 7,500 homes and 20,000 residents. Builders in the primary village are D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. Del Webb is building the Sun City Aliante age-qualified community. Land has been set aside for recreational and public purposes including a municipal golf course and three city parks. Proposed are two public elementary schools, a public middle school and a library. About 100 acres are allocated for commercial development and a casino. To visit the information center, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east and turn right on Sky Pointe Drive. Turn right at Frontage Road, then turn left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
