Sales up at Christopher Collection

Sales and construction are moving at a rapid pace at The Christopher Collection, a Christopher Homes neighborhood within the Southern Highlands Golf Club. According to sales agent Teresa Tebbs, all but 29 of the southwestern valley neighborhood's 98 homes have been sold.

"This is an outstanding rate of sales, considering that we officially opened for sales just a year-and-a-half ago," Tebbs said. "As more luxury-home buyers discover The Christopher Collection and the magnificent lifestyle offered by the Southern Highlands Golf Club, our sales continue to escalate."

Five single-story plans; two two-story residences with main-level master suites; and eight two-story plans with upstairs master suites are offered. Priced from the high $400,000s to more than $1 million, they range from about 3,000 to more than 6,200 square feet and include a stainless steel appliance package, oak or maple cabinetry, and granite counter tops.

Home sites average about one-quarter acre, with more than 75 percent of the lots located along the golf course. The latest release provides views of the course's lake and fairways, mountains, and city.

"From the lovely tree-lined streets to the diverse styles of architecture, The Christopher Collection has a real custom feel to it," she said. "With a selection of 15 residential designs, four distinctive elevation designs per plan, and 12 color palettes for each design, no two homes look exactly alike. Through blending the various home designs, color palettes, tile variations and architectural styles, Christopher Homes has created much more varied street scenes, resembling those you would typically see in the most opulent of custom neighborhoods."

She said buyers may customize their homes through the builder's design studio.

"As one example, we include a $25,000 allowance in the base price that is specifically for customizing options," she said. "This allows the buyer to be the decision maker in terms of which elegant features they wish to incorporate in their home. We also offer the finest of customizing features among our various residential designs, including elevators, detached casitas, wine cellars, fireside courtyards and much more."

According to Tebbs, 30-day occupancy is available in a van Gogh design on a golf course lot. This 4,600-square-foot home includes front-yard landscaping, a swimming pool, two spas, covered patios, marble and granite surfaces in the kitchen and baths, upgraded appliances, and custom interior paint. Its master suite has an adjoining exercise room with a private stairway leading to the front courtyard. There are also two secondary bedrooms with private baths, and a home office or den.

Christopher Homes is also building The Villas neighborhood in the Southern Highlands Golf Club. Seven courtyard floor plans are available, ranging from about 2,100 to more than 3,300 square feet and priced from the high $300,000s. One-story plans can be expanded to two stories, and the two-story home can be expanded to three stories. Buyers may consult with the design studio.

Landscaping of the front yards and open space are handled through the community association.

Residents of both neighborhoods may access the amenities of the guard-gated Southern Highlands Golf Club. The club offers roving security, concierge services, a planned sports and fitness center, and clubhouse.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south to Lake Mead Drive and exit west, following the signs. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
