Pardee builds facility for high school
A new two-story concession stand and press box at Las Vegas High School, built by Pardee Homes, has "made a ton of difference to our baseball program," according to Coach Sam Thomas. "The kids take more pride in playing on this field, now that we have a real ballpark atmosphere," Thomas said. The Wildcats are three-time defending Northeast Division champions among Southern Nevada high schools. With the help of local contractors, the home builder constructed the two-story structure, which includes a kitchen and bathroom, in time for this year's baseball season, according to project manager Dan Hale. "We want to support the kids and be good neighbors," Hale said. Located at Hollywood Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, the high school is across the street from the builder's Discovery Hills community. The 160-acre development is set to open this fall with three neighborhoods and a recreation center. Project superintendent Carlos Zuluaga and purchasing manager Bill Hughes led the design and construction of the concession stand. The builder offers 13 neighborhoods in the valley. Pardee Homes has been a longtime contributor to school projects. |
