Sun City Aliante resident relishes new life at Del Webb community
Ex-Californian Jeannette Sayegh said her new home at Del Webb's age-qualified Sun City Aliante community in North Las Vegas has been a dream come true. "Most people dream of something and never do it, but the timing was right and there were so many positives, that I decided it's now or never," she said. Sayegh, who purchased a 1,155-square-foot Heather design, moved on the recommendation of a relative, who already lived in the area. Her home features two bedrooms, two baths, a great room, kitchen nook, and a two-car garage. The home is priced from the low $300,000s. "When I decided to move to Las Vegas, I knew I wanted something new and modern that would not need a lot of repairs," Sayegh said. "I'd heard of Del Webb for many years. I was looking for a quiet, adult community with a recreation center and pool." A recreation center is planned to include a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms. Tennis and bocce courts are open. Sayegh appreciates her home's energy efficiency. Each home includes energy-saving features, earning the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label. "With the cocoon insulation and the energy-use guarantee, purchasing here has been a big plus. Del Webb showed me what my estimated heating and cooling costs would be based on the Environments for Living three-year program," she said. Sun City Aliante is the age-qualified component of the Aliante master plan, which includes Nature Discovery Park with its picnic areas, amphitheater, soccer fields, and tennis and volleyball courts; the 18-hole municipal Aliante Golf Club; trails; and a fire station. Retail and business centers are planned. Seven single-story designs range from 1,239 to 2,105 square feet. Prices start from the low $300,000s to the mid-$430,000s. Front- and backyard landscaping is included. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Del Webb, a subsidiary of Pulte Homes, also offers the age-qualified Sun City Anthem and Solera at Anthem communities in Henderson.
