Featured builder sold on Summerlin

When Tim Stonestreet commits to something, he commits 110 percent. Stonestreet, owner of Six Star Construction, lives with his family in Summerlin and 95 percent of his custom-home business is based in the community.

"I love everything about Summerlin," Stonestreet, a Southern Nevada resident for 21 years, said. "My children attend Summerlin schools and play soccer on the community's soccer fields. And, my mother-in-law and father-in-law, as well as many other family members, also reside in Summerlin."

He started his company seven years ago and builds eight to 12 homes a year. Stonestreet is one of four builders in Summerlin's Featured Builder Program, which consists of builders that have been screened with proven track records for building custom homes in the community.

"I have customers from all over the country and many from Las Vegas, and they have all come to me through referral from previous customers," Stonestreet said. "Positive word-of-mouth referrals are very important to me because I have such pride in what I do and in making sure my customers are completely satisfied with their home today and years down the road."

His custom-home clients work with local architect Marc Lamoine. His wife, Danielle, owns a realty company, which only lists and sells custom homes that have been built by him and his company.

"It's a family affair and commitment," he said. "The most important thing we build at Six Star Construction is trust. No detail is too small for my personal attention and you'll never find me behind a desk because I personally oversee every dream home I build as if it were my own."

To visit the community's custom homes and lots sales center, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Town Center Drive. Or, take Interstate 215 to the Sahara exit.

The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
